Kitty Macfarlane Live at Brig Below

  • Bar Brig 96-98 Leith Walk Edinburgh, Scotland, EH7 5HN United Kingdom (map)

It would not be a stretch to say that Kitty Macfarlane is one of the most exciting folk singer/songwriters on the scene. Her debut album, Namer of Clouds, was released earlier this year and has picked up high praise from The Guardian, Mojo, fRoots, and The Observer, as well as getting played by Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio 2, and by Mike Harding's Folk Show.

Originally from Somerset, her songs are vivid and poetic, inspired as much by the natural world as folk traditions. In the intimate basement setting of Brig Below, this is the perfect chance to introduce yourself to her music.

Jim's debut play, The Myth of the Singular Moment, performed at Summerhall during this year's Edinburgh Fringe, and will be following that up with a run at Vaults Festival in London in the New Year.
